Every time I see a list of under $20/$25 gifts, they’re always stocking stuffers or weird f*cking ideas. Why is that?? $25 is an expensive ass stocking stuffer, and I’m not buying someone a Mini Handheld Fan in the dead of winter? So…here are 10 gift ideas under $20 that (I think) anyone would be very happy to get. As always, there’s nothing from Amazon.
I’m doing this in lieu of my Black Friday/Cyber Monday newsletter because I forgot how much those sales stress me out. Comment if that’s a huge mistake and you want to see it anyway. And as always, please let me know if you purchase anything off this list!
For a Coffee Lover
I’ll never stop suggesting a great mug and a bag of coffee as the perfect gift pair. The great thing is, you can pick any mug and any bag of coffee, but I’m partial to these. Practical and thoughtful for any coffee lover in your life.

Cafe Bustelo - $3

For Someone with a Sweet Tooth
I never considered the utility of silicone baking cups! Sustainable, practical, and great for someone who loves baking. And why not pair them with an encyclopedia of cupcake recipes? I’ve linked a used one from Thrift Books in very good condition.
Baking cups - $9.99
Cookbook - $4.69
Total: $14.68
For a Competitive Puzzler
This puzzle from Open Invite claims to be finishable in under 20 minutes, so obviously you have to pair it with a timer for a most competitive puzzle lover.

For Someone Constructing a Gallery Wall
The Picture Room sells work by emerging and established contemporary artists with the goal of showcasing art that might not otherwise find its way into a traditional retail environment. This risograph print by Cory Siegler, a Brooklyn-based artist, could be a great gift. Pair it with binder clips & nails for a fun way to hang it without having to purchase a frame.
D Snake Risography by Cory Siegler - $14.00
Binder Clips - $2.49
Nails - $3.02
Total: $19.52

For Someone Who Kills Real Flowers
I don’t fully trust anything on clearance at West Elm to ship on time, but I like this one! Plus, the dried florals/feathers from Feng Sway in Brooklyn are great to pair with it (or any vase).
Sand Vase - $9.99
Total: $17.99
For Someone Who Always Has a Notebook
I am a sucker for anything Pantone, and these are no exception.

The baby succulent feels obvious, but have you ever heard of cactus candy? Maybe I’m just late. These soft, sugar-coated jelly candies are actually made from Prickly Pear Cacti grown entirely in Arizona! YUM? And they won’t hurt to eat.
Baby Succulent - $5-$8
Cactus Candy - $10
Total: $15-$18
