Another Gift Guide for Your Inbox!
A ton of gifts *mostly* under $50 that are, apparently, too long to fit in this email.
I’m going to keep this short & sweet because this email is too long :(
All of these gifts are good for any type of person in your life, most of them are under $50, and none of them are from Am*zon. Let me know if you buy anything and enjoy!
Gifts under $25
for a bird lover (or me?) - $17.99
Something about these weird IKEA acorn-looking birds feels really elevated. I would not bat an eye if I was told they were from 1stDibs.
for the memories - $24.99
One of the best gifts (IMO) is a framed photo. Print one off your phone for 99¢ at CVS and slap it in one of these simple, modern, elegant frames. Boom! Gift.
for a dinner party lover - $25.00
What more can you want from a dinner party than embroidered lemon napkins? Get these for your friend who’s always throwing dinner parties. 4 for $25!
for a coffee lover - $15
Every Christmas I put a block of Cafe Bustelo in my mother’s stocking. This mug could be a great gift, especially when paired with a bag of coffee. I have one :)
for a bath lover - $18
I love Maude, they’re a very cool, modern sexual wellness brand and have way more gifts than just these beautiful, well-priced bath salts.
for the most hygienic person you know - $8
I’ll say it, I want this fancy toothpaste, but I would NEVER spend my own money on it. If I got this as a gift standalone I would be so excited.
Gifts under $50
for someone who needs a little organization - $48.00
The swivel desk organizer is something I’ve loved for a while. I’ve seen vintage ones pop up in Goodwill, but if you know someone who hasn’t been so lucky it makes for a lovely gift.
for a wine lover - $28
Highly Reccomended’s Wine List drops once a month and it’s one of the very few newsletters I actually look forward to. The Founder, Marquis, sends a curated list of wines and spirits that you can either get delivered or pick up from their partner store Good Wine in Park Slope. They also recently released a delicious-looking orange wine for $28.00. I personally am intrigued. Gift it with a pair of wine glasses for a present under $50.
for someone’s inner child or actual child - $34.00
I can’t explain why I want these in my apartment, but maybe you know an adult (or child?) who will too.
for a cheese lover - $35.00
"A cheese knife set for those who love color, and cheese." Not much else to say.
for a vinegar lover - $28.00
Ok, I’ve never had this before but I would buy it for the label.
…or an olive oil lover - $31.50
These olive oils changed my life. I am not kidding. Buy the pair for literally anyone.
for someone who’s recently into canned fish - $12.00
lucky risograph is a very cool risograph printing press operating out of DUMBO and their prints are outstanding. Here is one for a fish lover! Great to hang in a kitchen, dining room, or anywhere.
for someone who’s always cold - $43.99
I will always preach the good word of a heated blanket. I’m listing the coupon price because if you don’t have a crumpled-up Bed Bath and Beyond coupon that expires in the year 3046, I’m not sure what to tell you!
For someone who loves Eames
I’d die for a mini Eames chair (and they are also the only version of these that are affordable 🥲).
for a dog lover - from $25
These handmade ceramics by Katie Kimmel are absolutely incredible, but each one is so unique it might be difficult to pick the best one. Why not get a gift card for the dog lover in your life!? They start at $25.
my favorite gift I’ve ever bought myself - from $36
I love this even though I barely use it. It is too big for my tiny dining table. I say get a small one and have MoMA gift wrap it, they do it beautifuly.
Gifts under $100
for a cat lover - $60
I hate cats and I’d proudly own this insane handcrafted Olga Goose candle.
for someone who loves pillows - $89.00
Another item that would be hard to justify but great to get as a gift.
for someone who cares about the earth (and loves candles) - $54.50
Keap is a company near and dear to my heart. My dad buys both my brother and me candles from here every Christmas, and for good reason. They smell amazing, burn forever, are zero waste, and are truly made with love and care. Northlands is my favorite for the holidays but they are all great. Buy one for everyone you know.
for someone who needs another tote - $68
This is currently on super sale for $35 and a great alternative to the ironic Boat and Tote if that whole thing feels overdone to you. Shout out to the fashionable guy at my office who wears this every day, and from whom I took this idea.
for the (newish) chef in your life - $90
I’m a big fan of Italic. I bought a dog bed from them for when my boyfriend’s dog stays over, and I love it so much I’ve thought about sitting in it myself. Their whole shtick is "luxury-level products accessible to all.” They claim to use the same manufacturers/materials as luxury brands without luxury markups. So far, everything I’ve got has been quality…so I believe it!
for someone who wouldn’t mind getting a single dish - $88.00
Very weird and I want it.
I NEED THE PINK POODLE VASEEEEE
