Everything on Facebook Marketplace I can't have (but maybe you can?)
For someone who resides in a 400 sq ft apartment, I spend way too much time on Facebook Marketplace. I particularly love to scroll on Sunday nights when I’m avoiding facing “it” (the crushing reality of a new week). This Sunday, I’m avoiding thinking about getting a cavity filled tomorrow.
Since I will continue this habit but can fit exactly zero additional furniture in my studio, I wanted to take time each week to share my favorite finds! These items are all in the NYC area for local pick-up, but if you live somewhere else and would like representation, let me know 😍. AND! If you end up scooping any of these glorious finds, please send me pictures. It would make my day & I’d love to share!
Without further adieu, this week’s Doom Scroll Facebook Finds™️.
80s-Style Mirror (with LIGHTS!) - $250
If you can get this seller to throw in the glass hand as well, this mirror would be well worth it.
A $75 Kartell Componibili?? - $75
I’m not in the business of authenticating, but $75 for what may be a real two-tier componibili is a STEAL!
Better-Than-Your-Average Folding Chairs - 4 for $125
As I will continue to mention, my apartment is small as fuck and for that reason, I am obsessed with folding chairs that I don’t suck. Maybe you will also love these? Yes, I do believe you’d be able to find them for $5 at a yard sale, but you can also get them here for a lot more money.
Vintage Mauve Cantilevered Dining Chairs - $200/pair
If you’re good at cleaning furniture, these are so CUTE. They look like something Dani Klarić would style beautifully and can make your apartment feel like Miami in the 80s. (I’ve never been to Miami.)
Antique Vanity Table or Desk - $150
The lister described this desk as "shabby chic" and I really appreciate that. I think desks should always be distressed, and the white is *chefs kiss*.
Vintage Chrome MOD Folding Chair- New Leather Seat - $100
This is a 60’s gem that I TBH have no clue how you’d practically use. Fun though!
Gastone Rinaldi 1970s Italian Designer Vintage Chrome Cantilever Chair - $275
I’m issuing a genuine apology for the amount of chrome in this newsletter but come ON! It does look like you can get a set of these on 1stdibs for $900, so the price of this lil guy should be lower, but I loved this so much that I had to include it.
