👋 I’m not sure if folks will use this feature…but we’re about to find out! I’m starting a thread because I’m curious what you all would like to see in this newsletter! I have a bunch of ideas floating around, but realized I don’t know much about my small but mighty group of readers (HI!) and would love to hear what you all are interested in, questions you have, ideas, gaps in the newsletter, whatever! 🫶 Also…tell me about yourself! (Whatever that means for you.)
YES TARA!!!! Maybe like a chat!? Versus a thread (I am still figuring out how to use Substack features that aren't just the blog, LOL). And it could also be an "ask the community" bc I feel like so many folks on here have good ideas!? (Achem, you, DIY queen).
Something I’d personally love and I think SEO would love (sorry) would be like a ‘starter kit’ for a type of furniture, a room of the apt, etc… so like Bedroom Design Starter Kit or Coffee Table Starter Kit are the first things that come to mind.
I spend SO much time trying to find an opinion I trust that can guide me to the right piece of furniture or decor .. and also (almost more importantly) at a good price point… so a starter kit might have tiers that differ by cost, rarity, etc. kind of like a mood board for a purchasing decision.
Am I making sense? Idk! About me I am someone very new to Caring about What He Buys, but still feel most rewarded by being thrifty, efficient, frugal, etc. Wow if I read this from the perspective of someone else I would be like he seems boring!! Ok bye <3
KARLLLL! This is such a wonderful wonderful idea (NOT BORING!). I love the idea of a "starter kit" series. I feel like, selfishly, that will be a very wonderful way for me to keep writing when I feel uninspired. Crediting you soon because both of those (and more) will be upcoming newsletters and maybe good practice for more to do more furniture reccos and research because that is also something I would personally love to do more of.
Well of COURSE! I want to use that guest post feature so obvi you will be the first I reach out to :) And thank you... dangerous for me too but learning how to buy less (and recommend more, LOL)
I LOVE this idea & actually have been meaning to go on this deep dive myself! I'm going to do some snooping and will have a newsletter on just artists hopefully in the next month!!
Aunt Mary Beth!!! This is so sweet. (Though I have to disagree since you and Aunt Mo have the best home!?) I want to do an edition on planters and plants with very little "keeping my plants alive" ability and would love to talk to you about it :)
I'd love an 'Ask Gina' section where people could submit interior designing questions to get your advice about!

Blesssss! Thank you:)
I’m your aunt and I love your “outside the box” design sense. I’m outside the box with very little design ability.
